Hosting is easy

Before

Pick a date, sign online and pay a 50% deposit. Share the guest link so everyone signs a short waiver on their phone. A week before, confirm your final count and pay the balance.

During

Arrive 10 minutes early. I take care of the session; your only job is to enjoy it.

After

The guest of honor takes home a pouch of handwritten messages, and every guest leaves with a gift.

Good to know

What to wear

Comfortable layers. You'll be lying down, and the body cools as it relaxes.

New to sound baths?

No experience needed. Anyone can sit up with support instead of lying down.

Cake and food

You're welcome to bring a cake, and I'm happy to suggest a local bakery. I serve only chamomile tea and water, so please check with your guests about food allergies.

Changing plans

Please read the private event terms before confirming your date.

Read private event terms

Thank you for choosing Lotus by Ritu for your event. These terms, together with your proposal, make up our agreement. 1. Reserving your date Your date is reserved once you sign your proposal and pay the deposit of 50% of the total. If the deposit isn't paid within 3 days of signing, I may release the date. For events booked less than 7 days ahead, the full amount is due at signing. 2. Balance and payment The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event. You can pay online by card through your invoice link, or by Zelle, Venmo, or cash — just let me know which you prefer. 3. Guest count Your proposal is priced for the number of guests listed on it. Please confirm your final number when you pay the balance. The total won't go down if fewer guests attend. If you'd like to add guests, just ask — if space allows, I'll confirm any change in price with you in writing before the event. 4. Rescheduling You may reschedule once at no charge if you let me know at least 7 days before your event. Your payments carry over to a new date within 6 months of the original, subject to availability. Requests made within 7 days are at my discretion — reach out and I'll do my best. 5. Cancelling More than 14 days before your event: your deposit can be applied to a private event held within 6 months of your original date. 14 days or fewer before your event: the deposit, and any balance already paid, is non-refundable. Life happens — if something unexpected comes up, please reach out. I'll always try to find a fair solution. 6. If I need to cancel If I have to cancel or reschedule because of illness or an emergency, you can choose a new date or receive back everything you've paid. 7. Timing Please have everyone ready at the scheduled start time. If guests arrive late, the session may be shortened so it still ends on time. If you'd like to extend on the day and my schedule allows, I'll confirm the rate with you before we continue. 8. Space and setup (events at your location) Please provide a quiet indoor space with room for each guest to lie down — about the size of a yoga mat, plus a little space around it. I'll need access 45 minutes before the start to set up and 30 minutes after to pack up. I bring large instruments, so please tell me ahead of time about stairs, parking, or building access. Any travel fee is listed on your proposal. For outdoor events, we'll agree on an indoor backup or a rain date in advance. 9. Waivers and participants Every participant signs the Lotus by Ritu waiver before the session. Participants under 18 need a parent or guardian's signature and must have a supervising adult present throughout. Sound healing is a relaxation practice, not a substitute for medical care — the waiver covers this in full. Please plan any drinks for after the session; sound baths work best, and most safely, with a clear head. 10. Instruments My instruments are delicate, and some are irreplaceable. Guests are welcome to play them when I invite them to. Damage caused by careless handling may be charged at repair or replacement cost. 11. Phones and photos Please silence phones and set them aside during the session. You and your guests are welcome to take photos before and after. I may photograph the setup for my portfolio, but I'll never share photos of you or your guests without your permission. 12. Changes Any change to your event — date, time, guest count, or pricing — is confirmed in writing, and email counts. Questions? Reach me at ritu@lotusbyritu.com or 201-470-4957.
